Self-Insured Premiums Jump by 20%
9:15 AM Posted by exclusiveMD
This was from a poll and survey from Kaiser of the self insured. This is what they found.
What did we expect when our new law requires more coverage for more people. Health care is not free. We need to focus on changing the way health care is delivered to make it more efficient. Thousands of health care dollars are wasted because of the inefficiencies of the system.
Three quarters of those people just faced a premium increase of 20% on average. The recent hikes have prompted the White House to say it will, "sternly warn industry executives" today that insurers shouldn't try to use the new health care law as an excuse to gouge customers, according to the New York Times.See the survey.
